This book is about a family of four, a mom, a dad and a girl that is 9 and a boy that is 7. The story starts with the dad asking the kids if they remember the day that he got hurt at work. He is sitting on the couch and the children are sitting next to him. He then explains that he was hurt and ended up with a traumatic brain injury which is just a fancy way of saying his brain got hurt and needed time to heal again. He explains different symptoms to the children and that even though he gets mad and sad at times that it is not their fault. He loves them very much and needs them to be strong for their mom. Together they will all heal in time and he is sorry that it gets confusing at times. But he wants them to know he loves them no matter what happens.

This gives you a strong base and helps your arches.” Coordination: “Jumping is about timing—bend your knees and straighten them at the right moment.” Strength: “Your calf muscles give you the push you need to leave the ground.” Wally started Jumpo with simple exercises. Step 1: Bouncing Wally held Jumpo’s hips and bounced him on a soft cushion. Soon, Jumpo felt the rhythm and tried bouncing on his own. “Next, try bouncing on a trampoline or your bed,” Wally suggested. Step 2: Standing on Tiptoes “To learn the push-off, practice standing tall,” Wally said. Jumpo reached for toys while on tiptoes, then practiced walking on them. Step 3: Bouncing on Tiptoes “Now try bouncing up and pushing onto your tiptoes,” Wally instructed. Jumpo held onto a sturdy branch at first and then tried it alone. After weeks of practice, Jumpo felt ready for his first jump. He bent his knees, pushed off with his toes, and… he was airborne! “See, Jumpo? Jumping is about practice and balance,” Wally cheered. From that day, Jumpo practiced daily, soon bounding through the bush like the other kangaroos.

1. Vasi asked John Jr about being Kind. Vasi had heard that a brief act of kindness can change people’s hearts. Vasi thought that sounded like something that he wanted to do. 2. They went for walk into town. John Jr decided to gather old books to donate to the Children's home. John Jr told Vasi to smile at everyone. They smiled and everyone smiled back. John Jr and Vasi took books to the Children's home and they recieved compliments for their kindness. That made John Jr and Vasi feel good inside. 2. John Jr and Vasi decided to go to store to pick up something to feed the birds and a snack for themselves. When they got to store, John Jr and Vasi held door open for people. As they was shopping they saw a family who had matching outfits on. John Jr gave them a compliment. The family smiled at John Jr and Vasi. 3. John Jr shared a quote by Mark Twain "Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see". John Jr and Vasi tell each other how easy it is to be kind 4. John Jr and Vasi saw a mom with 5 young kids struggling to push two carts to her car. John Jr and Vasi go over and push the 2nd cart and help keep the kids safe. At the car, John Jr and Vasi helped to unload the carts. The momma was very appreciative and gave John Jr and Vasi some candy she had just bought. 5. John Jr and Vasi head home and give bird seed to the birds along the way. At home John Jr tells his parents about his goal to be the kindest person. His parents hugged him and said that was a wonderful goal.
