Zeke is afraid of the dark and sleeping by himself in his bedroom. Mom kisses him goodnight but Zeke is too scared to let her leave. She says hold on and returns with a gem. She says it's a magical dream gem and if kisses it, closes his eyes, and whispers what he wants to see in his dreams, then it will take him them there. She tucks him in and leaves his room. Zeke hides under his blanket and whispers "dragon" to the gem. He closes his eyes and when he opens them he is surprised to find himself in a cave. He doesn't feel like himself. He looks down and sees that he has transformed into a mighty dragon. He goes on a fun adventure before seeing the magical gem on top of a pile of treasure. He says goodbye to his new friends and grabs the gem. He closes his eyes again and when he opens them, he is back in bed waking up to a new day. He is no longer afraid of the dark and going to sleep as he is excited for what adventures are in store for him when he goes to sleep with his magical gem.

Once upon a time, there were four children named Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy. They were sent to stay in a big, old house in the countryside during a war. The house was full of exciting rooms and secret places. One rainy day, Lucy, the youngest, decided to explore. She found a large wardrobe in a spare room. Curious, she opened the door and stepped inside. To her surprise, the wardrobe was not empty! It was filled with beautiful, warm fur coats. As she pushed through the coats, she felt cold air. When she finally stepped out, she found herself in a magical land called Narnia. Everything was covered in white snow, and the trees sparkled like diamonds. In Narnia, Lucy met a kind faun named Mr. Tumnus. He was gentle and friendly, with a big smile. He invited her to his cozy home and offered her tea. Mr. Tumnus told Lucy about the White Witch, a mean queen who made it always winter in Narnia and never let anyone celebrate Christmas. Lucy felt sad for the creatures of Narnia, and she wanted to help. When Lucy returned to her world, she excitedly told her brothers and sister about Narnia. But they didn’t believe her. They thought she was just making up stories. One day, while playing hide and seek, they all discovered the wardrobe together and stepped inside. To their amazement, they found themselves in Narnia too! Together, the four children met Aslan, a great and noble lion. Aslan was powerful and wise, and he wanted to help free Narnia from the White Witch. The children learned that they were part of an important adventure, filled with bravery, friendship, and magic. They promised to work together to save the land they had come to love.

Whiskers the Cat stretched languidly. Today was his birthday! He awoke extra early, hoping for a surprise. But the kitchen was quiet. Mama Cat was busy humming a tuneless song, and Papa Cat was already snoring softly by the fireplace. Little sister, Pip, was engrossed in a game of peek-a-boo with her favorite stuffed mouse. He trudged home, his little cat heart a bit heavy. He opened the door, expecting the same quiet house. Instead… A roar of "Surprise!" erupted! His friends and family jumped out from behind the furniture, all holding a giant, tuna-flavored cake decorated with sparkling candles and tiny gummy fish. Mama Cat, Papa Cat, and Pip were beaming, and even Mrs. Whiskers peeked in from the doorway, waving a small gift bag. Whiskers's eyes widened. "You remembered!" he whispered, his voice choked with happy tears. Mama Cat chuckled. "Of course, we remembered, sleepyhead! We just wanted to make it a really special surprise. We planned this all along!" Papa Cat winked. "We even managed to keep it a secret from your little sister—that was the hardest part!" That night, surrounded by the warmth of his family and friends, Whiskers blew out his candles, making a wish for lots more secret surprises and many more happy birthdays. It turned out to be the best surprise birthday ever!

One morning at school, Katie was walking to her classroom when she saw Sarah sitting alone by the playground. Sarah had always been mean to Katie. She would make fun of her shoes, call her silly names, and sometimes push her when no one was looking. Katie didn’t like Sarah, and she definitely didn’t want to help her. But as Katie walked past, Sarah called out, “Hey, Katie! Can you help me with my math homework? I don't understand it.” Sarah started to cry. Katie stopped. Her first thought was, "Why should I help her? She’s never been nice to me." Katie felt her cheeks getting hot, and her fists clenched. She wanted to turn away and keep walking. After all, Sarah had been so rude to her before. Why should she be nice now? But then, something in her heart made her pause. She remembered what her mom always said: "Two wrongs don’t make a right." Katie wasn’t sure what that meant exactly, but she knew her mom would want her to be kind and helpful, even if it was hard. Katie took a deep breath and walked over to Sarah. "I’ll help you," she said, trying not to sound too grumpy. Sarah looked surprised but didn't argue. "Thank you so much, Katie." She said with teary eyes. Katie sat down beside her and helped Sarah with the math problems. They worked quietly for a few minutes, and slowly, Sarah began to smile. “Oh, I get it now,” Sarah said, her face lighting up. “Thanks, Katie. I didn’t know how to do this before." Sarah hugged Katie tightly. Katie felt proud of herself. It was hard to help someone who had been mean, but she felt like she had made the right choice. Even though Sarah wasn’t always kind to her, Katie knew she could still be the bigger person. As the bell rang and Katie stood up to go to class, Sarah said, “Hey, um, sorry about the stuff I said before. I wasn’t very nice.” Katie smiled and nodded. “It’s okay,” she said. She didn’t expect Sarah to change overnight, but at least she knew she had done something good.

This is Peddy, and she is excited for her first day of school. Peddy kissed her mom and dad goodbye and walked out the door. As she happily sang, she made sure to walk on the side of the road where she could see approaching vehicles. On her way, Peddy saw Ian using his phone while walking and gasped, "Oh no!" She quickly approached Ian and said, "Good morning, Ian! Don’t use your phone while walking; it’s dangerous." Ian quickly put his phone away. "Oh, hi! Thank you for telling me, Peddy. Come on, let’s walk together!" As they continued walking, Peddy noticed white lines painted across the road. "Ian, we should walk on the pedestrian lane. Pedestrian lanes are designed to help us cross the road safely." They were about to cross when Peddy saw a traffic light ahead with three different colors. She stopped at the sidewalk. Ian looked at Peddy in confusion. "Why did you stop, Peddy? Come on! There are no cars anymore; we can cross the road." Peddy shook her head. "No, Ian. The traffic light is green, which means vehicles can go. Red means stop, and yellow means slow down." Ian then noticed the pedestrian signal. "Does the hand palm sign mean we should wait and not cross yet?" Peddy nodded. "Yes! And look, now the walking man signal has lit up. That means we can cross safely. That’s a pedestrian signal!" Ian was about to step forward, but Peddy stopped him again. "Before crossing, we should always follow the Stop, Look, and Listen rule. Stop before stepping onto the road. Look for approaching vehicles. Sometimes you can’t see them, so listen carefully for any nearby cars. If it’s all clear, then we can cross." Ian nodded, understanding the safety rules. Finally, Peddy and Ian walked across the pedestrian lane safely. They greeted the school guard happily, feeling secure and ready for their first day of school.
