Once upon a time, in a sunny park, stood a big, friendly tree named Mr. Tree. The bright sun would shine down onto his green leaves. People walking by would give him water when the ground was dry to get him to grow. But Mr. Tree was doing more than just growing. He was creating and recycling! First, the sunlight powered him up, like a battery. Then, his roots slurped up water from the ground. Sluuuurp! Finally, Mr. Tree pulled in the “bad air,” and mixed it in his leaves. By doing this he made yummy sugar to eat! That’s how Mr. Tree grew taller and taller and taller. But Mr. Tree wasn’t just making food for himself—he was also giving back to the world. As he grew, he would recycle the air, sending out clean air for everyone to breathe. “Here you go!” People, animals, and plants all needed Mr. Tree’s hard work to stay happy and healthy. But one day, Mr. Tree noticed something was wrong. People were burning things like gas to power their cars, factories, and machines, and it was leaking tons and tons of bad air! “Uh-oh, this is a big problem!” Too much bad air traps the Earth, similar to a heated blanket. This makes the planet hotter, called climate change, which is not good for anyone—people, animals, or plants like Mr. Tree. From then on, whenever people walked by, they’d smile and say, “Thank you, Mr. Tree!” And Mr. Tree would smile back, knowing everyone was learning how important trees are. So remember, kids: take care of trees, because they help us breathe and keep the Earth happy and healthy!

Elif Sare arrives at a mill surrounded by birds, where she meets a tiny sparrow. The sparrow explains how wheat is ground into soft flour by the millstones. The sparrow shows Elif Sare the process, describing how the flour is used to make bread and cakes. Leaving the mill, Elif Sare finds a farm where cows graze and chickens roam. The butterfly promises Elif Sare more surprises await. Elif Sare meets a friendly cow that explains how milk is collected and used to make yogurt, cheese, and butter. Elif Sare then meets the chickens and helps gather eggs while learning how they are essential for growing strong and healthy. With flour, milk, eggs, and walnuts in her basket, Elif Sare thanks the butterfly, who reminds her to always cherish and protect nature’s gifts. Returning home, Elif Sare uses her collected ingredients to bake a delicious cake with her mother. There was a frog named Sammy. Sammy was a happy frog, he loved to splash in his little pond and swim around. His friend, Flipp the Duck, was his best friend. They lived together in their little pond. Sammy hopped around and Flipp paddled through the water. They played hard all day splashing around and then slept on the sandy bank. One day Sammy brought up the fact that they hadn’t gotten rain for a while. Flipp agreed but they shrugged it off and continued to play. They continued to think to themselves that it would rain but after a week they still hadn’t gotten rain. Their pond began to dry up. One day Sammy and Flipp woke up and when they walked down to their pond excited to play, they were met with a dry hole. What was once their pond was now a giant muddy hole. Sammy couldn’t believe it “what are we going to do without a pond?” he muttered. Flipp began to say, “maybe it will rain and then it will fill back up”. Sammy agreed and he and Flipp sat in their muddy hole waiting for even the slightest drop of rain. Days passed without any rain the days were filled with boredom, Sammy began to ask, “will it ever rain?” Flipp responded “it will one day we just have to be patient”. One day while Flipp was curled up and Sammy was staring at the sky, Sammy felt a small drop on his forehead. “Flipp get up I felt a drop!” he screamed, Flipp perked up and looked at the sky more drops began to fall. They both stood up and started leaping with joy as it began to rain harder and harder. They watched as their pond slowly filled back up Sammy yelled “cannon ball!” and jumped in, Flipp watched and couldn’t wait any longer and then he splashed into their pond. They both splashed each other as the rain began to fall even harder. Every day they would play in their pond, and it continued to rain every day for them and they never had to worry about a dry pond again.
