Snake: “None of you stand a chance! I’ll slither faster than all of you!” he hissed. 2. all the animals gathered at the starting line. The bird flew swiftly ahead, the rabbit hopped with energy, the squirrel zigzagged skillfully, and the snake slithered smoothly. Meanwhile, the fish swam along the sparkling stream that ran beside the path. 3. The racers came to a wide muddy patch. The snake struggled, his body slipping in the mud.
