Page 3 When they arrived at Lung Yeuk Tau, Xiaoming and Xiaohua first visited the old village called Lo Wai. The tall walls and narrow gate made them feel curious. Page 4 The guide told them stories about Lo Wai. In the past, villagers built these defenses to protect against pirates, making them feel very safe. Page 5 Next, they went to the Tin Hau Temple. Inside the temple were beautiful statues, and there were two ancient bronze bells used for praying for safety. Page 6 Xiaohua was especially interested in the stories about the Tin Hau Temple. She learned that villagers would take the statues out to parade during Tin Hau's birthday. Page 7 Finally, they visited the Songling Tang Kung Ancestral Hall. Xiaoming was amazed by the architecture and heard the touching story of Tang Songling. Page 8 At the end of the trip, Xiaoming and Xiaohua felt that this journey was very special. They hoped to come back to Lung Yeuk Tau one day to explore more stories!

When they are feeling overwhelmed by big emotions they should tell an adult they need a break, how we can help them or what is making them feel that way. We want to help them understand their feeling so that they will be able to learn to self-regulate. We encourage deep breathing, breaks, walks, alone time and telling adults how they feel.

Nibbles Nugget Fluffball is a hamster that I know, I think that when I am sleeping, on adventures he does go. For when I wake up in the morning, the cage is open wide, I always think that he’s gone missing but he’s sleeping there inside… Each night when I’m supposed to sleep, I try my best to stay awake, I watch the cage, my heart a-thump, for Nibbles' daring break. But just when I think he's set to go, escaping through the door, I blink my eyes, and in a flash, I’m snoring on the floor! So I set up my camera, hoping to catch him on the run, But every time I check the screen, the footage is all done. The camera’s been turned off, or moved to some new place? Nibbles Nugget Fluffball! I see that smile on your face! The cage is empty every night, with crumbs and fluff inside, And little paw prints all around, where Nibbles likes to hide. He jumped off the table, where his cage is sat With Kiwi, my dog, right behind, they were running from the cat! You won’t believe me when I tell you, that they played all night! **The Lost Firefly** One warm evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon and the sky turned pink, Mimi the cat, Lulu the frog, and Didi the duck relaxed by their favorite pond. They loved this time of day, perfect for catching fireflies. “Let’s see who catches the most!” Didi quacked excitedly. The friends raced around, laughing as they tried to catch the glowing fireflies in the tall grass. But as the night deepened, Mimi noticed a firefly glowing brighter than the others, hovering alone near an old oak tree. “It looks lost,” Lulu said, her eyes wide. “We have to help it!” Didi declared. Determined, the friends followed the little firefly through the forest. It led them over meadows, past creeks, and into the tall trees. The journey was challenging, but they pressed on, eager to reunite the firefly with its family. Finally, they reached a glowing bush filled with other fireflies. The lost firefly zipped into the group, its glow brightening as it reunited with its family. “We did it!” Lulu cheered. The friends sat under the twinkling lights, realizing the best part of their night wasn’t catching fireflies but helping the little one find its way home. From then on, they promised to always help those in need, knowing even small acts of kindness could light up the world.
