Unable to free himself, he filled the forest with his angry roaring. The mouse knew the voice and quickly found the lion struggling in the net. 4.Running to one of the great ropes that bound him, she gnawed it until it parted, and soon the lion was free. “You laughed when I said I would repay you,” said the mouse. “Now you see that even a mouse can help a lion.”

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful vineyard in a peaceful village surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery. An elderly father and his son, Leo, lived in this vineyard. Soon after, the father passed away, leaving Leo alone with the vineyard and the secret of the hidden treasure. Determined to find the treasure, Leo picked up a shovel and began to dig. Day after day, he worked tirelessly, turning over the soil and caring for the vines. He dug deep and wide, but no matter how hard he searched, he couldn’t find even a single coin. As the seasons changed, something magical happened. The vineyard, which had been quiet and still, began to come alive. The vines grew strong and healthy, bursting with juicy grapes. Leo was amazed at the transformation. When harvest time came, Leo gathered the grapes and took them to the market. To his surprise, people loved the grapes and paid him well for them. As he counted his earnings, Leo realized something important. The treasure his father spoke of wasn’t gold or jewels—it was the fruit of his hard work and dedication. From that day on, Leo understood the true value of diligence and effort. He continued to care for the vineyard, knowing that the real treasure lay in the joy of seeing his labor bear fruit. And so, the vineyard thrived, and Leo learned that sometimes, the greatest treasures are not

Page 2 Monkey’s my buddy, my partner in play. We laugh, we dream, we plan our day! “What should we do, Monkey?” I say. He’s ready for fun in every way. Page 3 The rug’s a jungle, green and wide. “Hold my hand, Monkey, stay by my side!” We swing through trees and leap so high. “Look out! A crocodile!” I cry. Page 4 By afternoon, we’re pirates bold, Sailing seas of blankets rolled. “Treasure ahead!” I shout with glee. Monkey steers us across the sea! Page 9 “Monkey’s not real,” Mommy might say. But I know better—he’s real my way. She smiles and tucks us safe in bed. “You’re lucky to have him,” she said. Ang Panagbenga ay salitang galing sa Cordillera na ang kahulugan ay panahon ng pagbukadkad ng bulaklak. Binibigyang halaga sa pistang ito ang naggagandahang bulaklak kung saan kilala ang lungsod na ito. Nagsimula ang pagdiriwang ng Panagbenga noong 1995. Isinagawa ng pistang ito para maiangat muli ang Lungsod ng Baguio mula sa malagim na lindol noong 1990. Maraming gawain ang makikita sa pagdiriwang ng Panagbenga. Ang pinakasikat at inaabangang gawain tuwing pista ng bulaklak ay ang parada. Kasama sa paradang ito ay sayawan sa kalsada at pagtugtog ng mga banda. Pinakabida sa paradang ito ang mga higanteng karosa na puno ng mga magaganda at mababangong bulaklak. Sa paggawa ng karosang ito, ipinakikita ng mga Pilipino ang kanilang pagiging malikhain at pagiging matulungin. Ipinaparada ang mga ito sa malalaking kalsada ng lungsod. Maraming mga taong galing pa sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng Pilipinas ang dumadayo sa Baguio upang mapanood ito.

Miko the Meerkat and Lou the lizard live in the hot and dry Kalahari Desert. Miko the Meerkat and Lou the Lizard in the vast Kalahari Desert. Miko and Lou are best friends and do everything together! Miko is a bright, lively and friendly meerkat. He loves popping and looking out of burrows to explore the Kalahari. Miko likes moving from place to place and can’t stay still! Lou is a clever lizard; she loves to imagine the stars in the sky so much that she sometimes forgets to listen in class. Miko and Lou are different from their friends because they both have ADHD Miko struggled to stay still in class. He was always digging burrows and often got distracted during his How to Spot a Predator class. Lou also struggled in class. She couldn’t focus on her Sun Safety class because she was easily distracted by the clouds in the sky and often forgot to take down her homework.After visiting Dr Wild the Wildebeest, Miko and Lou learnt to do things that would help them to manage their ADHD. Although Miko and Lou struggled in class, their ADHD is now an advantage!Miko became the captain of the sand surfing team and had the fastest record in the desert! Miko was also top of his insect tracking class and created the first ever pair of insect spy goggles that could see different insect tracks and tell you what type of insect you are looking at!Lou enjoyed stargazing so much that she was top of the class for astronomy and could name every constellationEven though Miko and Lou had some tough times with their ADHD, they both learnt cool tricks to help them feel better and do their best. They have support from their parents, teachers and classmates. But the best part was that they could count on each other! Miko and Lou learnt how to handle their ADHD together and were always there to help each other when things got tough.
