Jesus Taught Me Love is a heartwarming children's book about an 8-year-old Polynesian girl named Kai, who has recently been baptized. As she embarks on her journey of faith, Kai learns what it truly means to be a disciple of Christ—not just by believing in Him but by living His teachings every day. She feels the deep, unconditional love of the Lord in her heart and realizes that true discipleship means sharing that love with others. Inspired by Jesus’ example, Kai looks for ways to be kind, patient, and forgiving, even when it’s difficult. Whether she is helping her family, comforting a friend, or showing kindness to someone in need, Kai discovers that love is more than just words—it is action. Through small, everyday moments, she sees how her love for God strengthens her ability to love those around her. With vibrant illustrations and a meaningful message, Jesus Taught Me Love helps young readers understand that no act of love is too small and that by sharing God’s love, they can make a difference in the world. Kai’s journey reminds children that they, too, can be a light for others through love and kindness.

Story Synopsis Target Age: 5-8 years old Genre: Magical Realism, Adventure, Bedtime Story Themes: Memory, Belonging, Loss, Hope, Connection Short Summary: A young orphan named Yuni loves to watch the stars, wondering where her parents are and if they might ever come back. But something strange is happening—the adults in her orphanage are forgetting things, their names, their stories, even each other. The stars, too, seem dim and quiet. One night, a single star falls from the sky, landing deep in the woods. Yuni runs to find it and discovers a small, pale, faceless being—a fallen star that has forgotten who it is. She names it Sparky, and together, they set off on a journey to restore Sparky’s memory and uncover the mystery of why the world is forgetting. Along the way, they meet the Wise Owl, the Ancient Tree, the Playful River, Mother Earth, and Grandpa Sun—each one guardians of memory in their own way. They guide Yuni and Sparky, helping them recover pieces of a forgotten song that may hold the key to bringing back what was lost. Their quest leads them to Nowhere, a vast, silent void where they meet No One and No-Thing—the place where all memories begin and end. Only a spark can awaken it again. In the end, Sparky realizes she was always the spark that brings light and connection to the world. With a final, glowing burst, she vanishes—returning to everything, everywhere. Yuni wakes up where she started, the memory of Sparky lingering like a song in her heart. Back at the orphanage, a kind couple arrives to adopt her—with a small, joyful puppy in their arms. “This is Sparky,” they say. Yuni smiles, holding the puppy close, feeling the warmth of everything she has lost and found. 💫 “Hello, Sparky.” 💫

Once upon a time, there were two children named Audrey and Daniel. Their dad loved fishing more than anything! One sunny day, Dad packed up his fishing gear and took Audrey, Daniel, and their Jack Russell terrier, Butch, down to the creek for a day of fishing fun. Butch, of course, was excited for a swim. Dad helped Audrey and Daniel set up their fishing lines. First, Audrey caught a small carp! She was so excited, she jumped up and down. Then, Dad hooked the biggest fish Audrey and Daniel had ever seen – a huge cod! He shouted to Daniel, "Grab the net!" The 4kg cod was a monster! "Fish and chips tonight!" Audrey exclaimed. Poor Daniel! The fish kept stealing the bait right off his hook. Hours passed, and Dad and Audrey caught lots of fish. They started to pack up, but Daniel was determined. "Even if I have to stay all night," he declared, "I'm going to catch a fish!" Just then, Daniel's line started to zip! "Get it! Get it!" Dad yelled. Daniel pulled and pulled, and up came a beautiful barramundi – almost bigger than Daniel himself! He had caught the biggest fish of the day! Dad was super proud of Audrey and Daniel. They were fishing masters! They went home smelling strongly of fish. "You better go clean up!" Mum said, "I'm not letting those stinky fish monsters back in the house!" After a good scrub, it was time for dinner. Dad cooked the delicious fish on the barbie, and told them stories of his amazing fishing adventures. He promised their next trip would be on a boat! Audrey and Daniel couldn't wait for their next big fishing adventure with their dad.
