(the chickens were surprisingly adept at this, though they weren't allowed near the bigger tractors, those were for Mandy). A spotty pebble signified "fence mending" (the sheep, surprisingly strong and surprisingly good with knots, were responsible for this). A shiny white pebble meant "collect the eggs," a task usually handled by the pigs (who, surprisingly, had a knack for finding even the most hidden eggs). And a brown pebble meant "hay time," a job for the strong horses. But Mandy Moo wasn't just a manager. She was a skilled operator, a master of the farm's machinery, and a whiz with a wrench. The little tractor was easy for her, but she could also handle the truck, driving it with surprising agility to transport supplies around the property. Sometimes, when the harvest was in full swing, she'd even take the combine harvester for a spin, expertly maneuvering it through the fields. And if something broke down on the farm, Mandy could often be found wielding a wrench, fixing whatever needed fixing. She could repair a leaky pipe, tighten a loose bolt on the hay baler, or even patch a hole in the chicken coop, all with a surprising level of skill and precision

For a long time, the sisters didn’t get along. They each wanted to be independent and free. So Corn Girl stood there with her sunburned feet and got hungrier and hungrier. And Bean Girl lay there on the ground and got dirtier and wetter. And the little short sister, Squash Girl, was hungry, too. One day Bean Girl asked Corn Girl, “What if I feed you some good food, and you can hold me up so I don’t have to lie on the ground?” Then little Squash Girl called up to her tall sister, “What if I lie on your feet and shade them so you won’t get sunburned?” So the Three Sisters learned to work together, so that everyone would be healthier and happier. Corn Girl helped Bean Girl stand up. Bean Girl fed Corn Girl and Squash Girl good food. And Squash Girl shaded Corn Girl’s feet and kept the weeds from growing up around them.

"There you are!" Parthavi said, smiling. 6. The Mystery Solved Parthavi learned that the moon wasn’t missing—it was just hiding behind the clouds. 7. Going Back Home Happy, Parthavi went back home, knowing the moon would always return. Moral of the Story: “Things may not be missing, they might just be hiding.”

Page 1 Today, Alex and Emma are going on a school trip to Lung Yeuk Tau. They are very excited to see the beautiful mountains and old villages! Page 2 The bus drives along the mountain road to Lung Yeuk Tau. Alex tells Emma, "The mountains here look like a dragon jumping, so it’s called Lung Yeuk Tau!" Emma laughs and says, "That’s so interesting!" Page 3 They arrive at the old village called Old Wai and see the tall walls. Emma asks, "Why are the walls so thick here?" The teacher replies, "They were built to keep pirates away!" Page 4 The kids see an old well. Alex points and says, "This well was used by villagers for drinking water." Emma looks closely and says, "The well has a metal cover. That’s special!" Page 5 Next, they visit the Tin Hau Temple. Emma is surprised and says, "There are so many statues in the temple!" The teacher explains, "These are the gods that protect the village. We can pray here for blessings." Page 6 In the temple, the kids see two old bronze bells. Emma asks, "What are these bells for?" The teacher says, "People ring the bells to tell the gods and pray for safety." Page 7 Before the trip ends, the kids take pictures on the village path. They agree to come back next time to join the village’s traditional activities and learn more about the culture. Page 8 Back at school, Alex and Emma excitedly share their trip stories. He stucks his nose under his dog house and sniffs hard and he is sure that someone is beneath the house 6. He diggs and diggs and gets his head beneath the house to find a mole hole. His tail is high in the air. A mole looks him direct in the eyes 7. As the mole saw Dookie it began running all around the yard. 8. Dookie starts to chase the mole, left and right, up and down until the he chased the mole out of the yard. 9. Dookie with his nose high returns to his house, proud and happy. 10. But, as the fog began to lift slowly, in front of himself Dookie noticed a dozen of mole hole, each with a mole on the top, looking at Dookie with defiance 11. Dookie cries in despair, as he knows this is the battle that he cannot win. The End

The pets decided to bring a book to Ms. Olya and her students at school number 309. Lagi the dog was very happy with cosmic reading. Each planet in the sky has its own song. Each rocket named a letter of the alphabet, and on it flew animals that began with this sound. Lagi and Bagi learned to read and the children also really liked cosmic reading.
